About Department
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established in the year 2006-2007 with initial sanctioned strength of 60. The field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the place to be in, for those who love working with electrical systems-ranging from heavy power generators to the smallest of Micro-Chips. The stream involves the design, manufacture, installation, operation and Management of Electrical systems that underpin modern economics and contribute to improving the quality of life. The EEE Department at CIT prepares students in their field using new-age information and computer intensive
Major Events
The EEE Department is planned to conduct National level Conference, Seminars and workshops. This provide a platform for the staff and students to share the views and experience among the industrialists, fellow researchers and academicians in the emerging areas of Electrical Engineering.
Infrastructure
The EEE department has excellent laboratories with modern equipment as per Anna University Curriculum. The department has excellent infrastructure and other facilities to provide quality education.

Third year Electrical and Electronics students went for an Industrial visit to Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation, Echantha. Students gathered knowledge from the Employees .
