Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

1. To prepare students for successful careers in Civil Engineering field that meets the needs of Indian and multinational companies.
2. To develop the confidence and ability among students to synthesize data and technical concepts and thereby apply it in real world problems.
3. To develop students to use modern techniques, skill and mathematical engineering tools for solving problems in Civil Engineering.
4. To provide students with a sound foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyse engineering problems and to prepare them for graduate studies.
5. To promote students to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary projects and make them engage in life-long learning process throughout their professional life.

On successful completion of the programme,

• Got 8 University Ranks in UG Degree and 15 University Ranks in PG Degree so far.
• PEACE –Professional Enthusiastic Association of Civil Engineers was formed in 2008 and organized various number of International & National Conferences, National Level Technical Symposiums, Workshops in the campus.
• Got ISO 9001:2000 Certification in 2007 from TUV Suddeutche, Germany.
• Established in 2008 with an intake of 30

EVENTS ORGANIZED

1. International Conference on Construction Materials and Structures “ICCMS – 2K19” conducted on 19.03.2019
2. One Day National Level Workshop on Drone Surveying, South India’s First Drone Workshop was conducted on 06.03.2019
3. National Level Technical Symposium “PARAAK 2K19” was conducted on 08.02.2019
4. One Day Cultural Fest “WAVES 2K19” was organized to explore the students talent was conducted on 14.02.2019
5. 120 Students have participated in the motivational talk “Inspiring Ignited Minds” by A.Sivathanu Pillai, DS & CC R & D, CEO, BRAHMOS on 24^th January 2019.
6. Traffic Awarness Program was organized by Department of Civil, Sasi, Assistant Comissionar of Regional Transport Office, Tirunelveli inaugurated the event almost 150 students & 50 drivers were participated in the awareness program.
7. International Conference on Construction Materials and Structures “ICCMS – 2K18” conducted on 19.03.2019
8. National Level Technical Symposium “KALAM 2K18” was conducted on 08.02.2019
9. Forty final year students have visited Hindustan Constructions Private Limited Mumbai on 2018.

PEACE- Professional Enthusiastic Association of Civil Engineers was inaugurated by our former Principal Prof.M.Subramonia Pillai, in the presence of Our Chairman Er.I Krishna Pillai and Dr.N. Azhagesan, Principal at that time. Dr.P.Apparao, Professor, IIT Chennai was the Chief Guest for the prestigious event.  PEACE as the name indicates, we the Civil Engineers have the intention for  peace by making our environment clean & green.

We have conducted various number of International & National Conferences, National Level Technical Symposiums, Workshops. Our students are educated in an innovative, dynamic and challenging environment through a combination of research-based teaching, project work and a high degree of interaction with industry. This activates our students to gain a competitive edge in the employment opportunities and to develop their skills & personality. Our activities include aptitude tests, mock interviews, group discussions, case studies on every Saturday afternoon session.  

The training modules has created to improve our student`s skills like:  Effective communication, Presentation Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Verbal Reasoning, Team Building, Group Discussion, Planning, Goal, Personal Grooming, Listening Skills, Logical Reasoning, Situational Conversation, Creativity, Time Management, Problem Solving.
